GOALS

Knox County Council PTA shall…

· Encourage all PTA/PTSA schools to participate in child advocacy activities.

· Encourage all PTA/PTSA schools to address problems beyond the scope of a single local unit, realizing the power of united planning to address community-wide issues affecting our children.

· Provide inspirations, information, and instruction for all PTA/PTSA schools.

· Encourage all PTA/PTSA presidents to become better acquainted with local elected officials, including school board members and county commissioners, who make decisions about education.

· Enable all PTA/PTSA schools to come together and learn from one another.

· Provide “Hot Topic” programs of interest on relevant issues affecting our children.

· Promote all activities and programs of the Council and local PTA/PTSA schools through the media.

· Improve communication between the Council and all local PTA/PTSA schools.

· Encourage all Knox County schools to be PTA or PTSA schools.
