Alice B. Deeds Memorial Scholarship

Text Box: Donations are needed by mid Februrary each year, but accepted at any time.

Knox County Council PTA offers scholarships to seniors seeking to extend their education past high school.  This fund exists through donations from the Knox County PTAs and other interested individuals, and through those donations we are able to help deserving students from Knox County.  Approximately 50 applications are received each year from very deserving seniors all across Knox County.

Knox County Council PTA would like to continue this very worthwhile project, but in order to do so, we will continue to need and request the help of our local units. Without the local unit donations, Knox County Council PTA would not be able to help the deserving students in the Knox County School System.

The number of scholarships presented and the amount of each is determined in January so providing a donation in a timely manner is vitally important.

Donations can be mailed to Knox County Council PTA, 232 E. Churchwell Avenue, Knoxville TN  37917.  Please mark for scholarship fund.

Scholarship guidelines and applications are sent to the principal or guidance counselor of each High School in Knox County and should be available in December.

Text Box: Last year, the Knox County Council PTA presented seven $500 scholarships to some very deserving Knox County seniors.
