Upcoming 2010 General Meeting Programs and Events

 

· Mar. 2  Policy, Politics and Education - How Parents Can Affect Change beginning at 6:30 p.m. at UT’s Howard Baker Center for Public Policy.  Guest speaker will be Buzz Thomas, Director of Great Schools Partnership.

 

· Mar. 18  KCCPTA Student Awards Celebration to be held at Rothchild Conference Center, 6:30—8:00 p.m.  Tickets must be purchased in advance.

 

· *Apr. 13   Drop Out Prevention and e-Wellness Healthy Living Follow Up at Holston Middle School beginning at 9:30 a.m.

 

· Apr. 22  An Evening of Elegance to Celebrate Excellence to be held at Rothchild Conference Center, 6:30—8:00 p.m.  Tickets must be purchased in advance.

 

· April 30—May 2  Tennessee PTA Convention to be held at Holiday Inn Select Opryland in Nashville, TN.  Visit www.tnpta.org for more information and registration forms (look under the “PTA Leaders” link).

 

· May 11  KCCPTA School of Instruction (PTA/PTSA leadership training) at the Teacher Supply Depot from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or at Powell Middle School from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  You may attend either session!

 

· June 10-13  National PTA Convention to be held at Cook Convention Center in Memphis, TN.  Visit www.pta.org/annualconvention in March for registration forms.  Volunteers needed!
